The College received its COMS-A Certificate of Membership on September 25, 2026, marking an important step in strengthening the University’s connections with medical schools and health education institutions across the continent.

COMS-A brings together more than 200 medical schools from 37 countries and provides a platform for institutions to share knowledge and experience, strengthen research and education, build partnerships, and develop future leaders in medical education.

For Werabe University, the membership is more than a formal recognition. It is an opportunity to connect with others, learn from shared experiences, work together on common challenges, and contribute to improving medical education and healthcare in Africa.

The membership will also create opportunities for faculty and students to engage with peers and institutions across the continent, exchange ideas and best practices, and participate in collaborative academic and research activities.

These connections can help strengthen the College’s academic capacity and support its continued growth.

Werabe University looks forward to actively participating in COMS-A initiatives and building meaningful partnerships that advance academic excellence, research, and impactful health education.
